George O’Connor - Seidler Equity Partners

Investment Director

George joined Seidler Equity Australia in 2020. He is responsible for leading transaction execution and portfolio value creation initiatives, and plays a key role in sourcing, diligence, and structuring of new investment opportunities. He works closely with founders and management teams to drive strategic growth (organic and inorganic), operational improvement, and disciplined capital allocation. George has served as a board member for several current and former partner companies.

Prior Experience

George began his career at Credit Suisse, a global investment bank, advising on M&A, capital markets, and strategic transactions across financial sponsors, consumer, technology, and general industrial sectors. He has significant experience working alongside founder-led and high-growth businesses, supporting capital raises, acquisitions, and long-term value creation initiatives.

Education

George holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Finance) and a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from The University of Adelaide.

Outside of Work

Originally from Adelaide, George lives in Sydney with his wife and their son. He spends his downtime at the beach, planning the next ski trip, or cooking a long Sunday lunch for family and friends.
