David Reed


Dave joined Seidler Equity Partners in 2007 and is involved in managing SEP’s business development department in the US. His responsibilities include sourcing investment opportunities, cultivating relationships with industry-leading owner-operators, executives, management teams, and shareholders, and performing company and industry due diligence. He has played an instrumental role in building and implementing SEP’s in-house proprietary CRM databases.

Prior Experience

Dave began his professional career at The Gores Group, a private equity firm, where he spent over six years in the business development group. At TGG, Dave focused principally on sourcing investment opportunities, with an emphasis on corporate carve-outs, divestitures, public-to-private transactions, and leveraged buyouts. He was responsible for building a network of industry leading executives of public and private companies, intermediaries, investment banks, lawyers, and other transaction referral sources. His transaction experience spanned a wide variety of industries and deal sizes.


Dave graduated from Pepperdine University with a BA in Economics.

Outside of Work

Dave played baseball in college, is an avid sports fan, experienced youth league softball / baseball / soccer coach, and an outdoor enthusiast. He and his wife have two children, a girl and a boy.
