Dan Murray

Partner

Dan has over 10 years of experience operating and investing in privately owned companies. He joined Seidler Equity Australia in 2019 and plays a key role in sourcing investment opportunities and performing company and industry due diligence. He has served as a trusted advisor and Board member to several current and former SEA partner companies. He brings a hands-on, commercially grounded approach to the businesses he works with, and cultivates close relationships with industry-leading executives. Dan actively supports SEA partner company founders and executives with strategic organic and inorganic growth initiatives, working in close partnership to help drive long-term value creation.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining Seidler Equity Australia, Dan worked as the origination manager at Pemba Capital Partners, an Australia & New Zealand mid-market private equity investor. Dan’s experience includes deal origination and M&A support alongside management teams across the business services, education, ICT, and consumer sectors.

Education

Dan’s path to private equity began as an entrepreneur, founding, growing, and successfully exiting two separate businesses in the specialty retail and education sectors between 2008 and 2017.

Outside of Work

Dan enjoys surfing, ocean swimming, and anything outdoors. He and his wife and sons reside in Sydney.
