Robert Seidler

Partner

Bob is a co-founder of Seidler Equity Partners and has spent over 25 years seeking, partnering with, and supporting owner-operated businesses as they look to preserve their cultures while taking full advantage of their growth potential. He is actively involved in establishing and implementing the firm’s strategic vision and promoting its core investment and cultural principles. Bob is active in business development and new company investment selection. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Investment Committee.

Prior Experience

Bob began his career working for an operating company in the midst of integrating a half dozen acquisitions as they grew their product offering and territory. He later joined an investment bank as an M&A specialist until leaving a few years later to pursue direct investing in the mid-1990s.

Education

Bob graduated with a BA in History from Georgetown University (with a stint at University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia) and later received an MBA from UCLA (spending a portion of the term at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy).

Outside of Work

Bob takes his breaks on the water or in the mountains and is a passable climber, surfer, and sailor. He has a soft spot for organizations around the world that promote entrepreneurship and charities that offer resources and inspiration to at-risk kids. He and his wife Alecia have five children (two boys, three girls).
